I totally appreciate your two cents as an mp3blog fan and as an online promotion consultant.

I did cut it down to just three and two of those three are available on French Kiss. I left in the third one, because that is where the lyric excerpt is from. And because I just had such a hard time taking it down – such a good song.

Anyway, that will be my new rule, if I am compelled to post some mp3′s I will try to only post ones that are already available from an authorized source.

Thanks again for writing and maybe we can work together sometime in the future with my band…

I saw you posted an inquiry on the elbo.ws board about full album downloads, so I thought I would check out your site. I’m sure most mp3 bloggers would agree it is NOT cool, in fact I would suggest not putting multiple tracks from one record in a single post either…even if you encourage your readers to go buy the album.

I know your desire to put up the songs is related to your wanting to share music, so I can relate to that.

For the record, I work doing online promotion for lots of indie artists and labels, so I run across this from time to time. I’m not working with Les Savy Fav (though we worked a record of theirs in the past), but you might want to check their label site to see what promo mp3s are available.

Of course, you can also just do what you want, but since you asked, just my 2¢ ;-)
